Features
What makes this model different
Multi-colour without a full enclosure
The Spark i7 is an open-frame bed-slinger that supports the CFS Nano, CFS Lite and CFS Mini filament systems. Creality states multi-colour printing is available through those units rather than built into the printer.
Why it matters: Multi-colour at a lower entry price than the enclosed K2 series, with the trade-off that ABS-class materials stay out of reach.
Sensors that stop a failed print early
Filament run-out detection with resume, filament tangle detection and cutter wear monitoring are all listed for this model, so a snapped or tangled spool does not silently ruin a long print.
Why it matters: Matters most on overnight prints and in a shared lab, where nobody is watching the machine.
Which CFS unit is which
CFS Nano is the compact four-slot unit (445 g). CFS Lite is the larger four-slot unit with auto refill and RFID filament recognition via Creality RFID spools. CFS Mini is a two-slot open rack. Only one CFS Nano can be used at a time.
Why it matters: The kits are not interchangeable in capability, so it is worth knowing which one a configuration actually includes before comparing prices.

FAQ
Questions about this model
- Does the standard Spark i7 print in multiple colours?
- Only with a CFS unit. The standard configuration ships without one; the CFS Nano package and the Combo include a four-slot unit.
- Can it print ABS or ASA?
- Those materials are not in Creality's supported list for this model, which names PLA, PETG, PLA-CF and TPU (Shore 64D or harder). The printer is open-frame.
- How is this different from the K2?
- The Spark i7 is open-frame with a 260 × 260 × 255 mm volume and a 300 °C hotend. The K2 series is enclosed, reaches 600 mm/s and supports up to 16 colours with multiple CFS units.
